Conan Exiles is not a "good" game. For its' near-AAA price point, it just doesn't feel polsihed. Speaking in broad strokes, from a technical standpoint, the NPCs are glitchy, the netcode is absysmal, the support ticket system is absent and the dungeon-crawling content feels unfinished.

Conan Exiles is a tremendously ambitious game-- promising an MMO/Dark Souls style dungeoncrawling fantasy adventure overlaid by a tremendous world with unbeatable potential for player development, Minecraft style, but it spreads itself rather thin, and forgets the basics.

Despite all that, this game is terribly fun. Frustrating? Definitely. But even if it stands on an incredibly shaky foundation, when it works properly, I'm having a blast playing it.

If they implement Support Ticket support while fixing the bugs and cleaning up the netcode, I'd call it one of my favorite games of all time. As it stands, it's a fun time-waster, creative exercise, and a (slightly doofy) RPG good for a change of pace if you're burnt out on your current time-waster.

Glitches and all, Conan is a good time. even if it's not a "Good" game.

Possibly the best roguelike I've ever played. It's rare for a game to totally enscorcel my degenerate nerd-brain, but this game abused me into sinking 21 hours into it over about 2 days. I mostly attribute that to engaging classes, a rewarding difficulty curve, and a goofy, charming aesthetic.

That said I'd strongly recommend you use a USB gamepad- it defaults to 360, but it works fine on my SNES one- as the keyboard layout is kinda rickety.

That said, 2 thumbs in incredible pain oh god it's Super Metroid all over again
