for the longest time I had thought it was a lesser game because of my assumption of its graphical infidelity as well as uninteresting gameplay. I was wrong. Skyrim was such a beloved game that continues to be purchased and enjoyed not because it is perfect, but because we love a world we explore and take part in. This is that, but so much grander, so much more expansive. And, you can play it with friends and strangers. Feel a part of the world we've engaged in for decades from Arena to whatever will be the Elder Scrolls VI. I love it. I had at first played as a Breton Templar, but later tried a Nord Dragonknight & I noticed there did exist a noticeable difference in quality of story from stros m'kai to the lil orc isle as compared to the nord isle to the beginning of morrowind's lands, but I think the point was to provide differing experiences for differing types of players. If story is what engages you, there exists quest lines and stories that will meet your expectations of an mmorpg and possibly even exceed them. If you're trying to just rush through and become the biggest baddest hero of olde ever as soon as possible, there exists paths and ways to achieving that too. I don't mean to gush, but having played World of Warcraft from the time I was 10 to now @ 24 years of age; I'd played Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Wild Star, Lord of the Rings Online, but finally I have found a game and community and experience that matches what I was looking for. (glenumbra chat gives heavy vanilla barrens chat ngl, but I love you all, even if u are a lil too angsty/edgy sometmes) I accept that it's not for everyone, but I feel at home here. From the castles of Daggerfall to the fiery mountains of Vvardenfell. It's a world I'm enjoying participating in. I encourage you to give it a try if you've ever even considered it.

This game is really fun. Dark Souls games are always enjoyable to explore and sure it's a bit of a grind to level, but the actual grind is getting good at the game. I compare this game to STALKER because as you progress you become powerful enough to be able to afford more hits to your character and to be able to hit harder. Skill shots in STALKER are headshots, but in this they are well-timed parries. They are both satisfying. Love this game, love the atmosphere, and love the gameplay. Anybody can pick this game up and enjoy it, you just gotta learn that it doesn't matter if you die - you can get everything you lost back :) fun with friends, fun with strangers, I still haven't beaten the game because I'm garbage and wanted to do all the story stuff the first time through, don't make the same mistake as me - if you miss something, it will be there in new game+ good luck and have fun!
