I just played a game with them, it was fantastic fun to actually play a game (we played two CP maps) using only melée, that was just as competitive and hardcore as with full weapons (people who try and make melée-only games realise that it usually just becomes silly, or people don't do it, etc.).

Alright, I'll start by recommending that everyone add everyone else in the group via Steam friends to make the following suggestion easier.


Basically, here's what I'm feeling like doing here. I'm getting bored with the core gameplay and I just want to muck around in servers now, but I have no-one with which to do it. So what do you say we all find an all-talk server and battle it out with eachother? It'll be fun because I saw Americans doing it on YouTube and they laughed heaps 'n' stuff.


Seriously guys, until I feel like organising vcob competitive play, I think we should just have a good time playing in pubs. Sound good? Good. See y'all there.

Originally this clan, the Vicious Chickens of Bristol (or just [vcob] if you don't like that clan name because you're ♥♥♥♥), was something we always planned to create but never got around to it. A clan of friends and all that junk where we'd play with teamwork and, essentially, ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up.

Even though we haven’t quite made it that far, it has recently come into talks the consideration of going competitive with this clan, to start learning from people that are better than us (most probably) and in that, get better ourselves. Now I’m not entirely sure how to do that at all at the moment but I’m sure if we all work together on this one we’ll be able to make either a really good team that kills ♥♥♥♥, or a really bad team that laughs at each other over the microphones. It’s fun either way, right? I figure, as this group we have will most likely have more than five people that want to have a go in competitive, that we’d end up having divisions or something like that. Kind of like club soccer.

Obviously not everyone will want to be in the competitive scene, which is understandable. I mean, this clan was pretty much made to be casual. So if you’re all about going into TF2 with the [vcob] tag and griefing some ♥♥♥♥, so be it. That said, if you do wish to take part in the competitive side of Team Fortress 2, please leave a comment stating so. This will give us at least a starting point so I may then contact some other competitive players to find out what the ♥♥♥♥ else to do.

Just reading that makes me pretty excited, even if we do get beat to ♥♥♥♥. I love the idea of strategy.
