Well, a kindly person has given me a digital deluxe edition, so I suggest we all head to Gunnar's Hold and find each other somehow. Well, when it's finished the marathon journey down the download pipe into my computer's innards.

Not that I know of. I've ordered from Amazon - don't mind paying £35 much on the basis that it is an MMO with no subscription. It may come down in price I guess. I got the original GW for about £15 which turned out to be great value for money.

Sounds like you played a Thief. In the original my main was a ranger (well ranger/warrior). I'm rather fond of that class so may play it again for old time's sake...though in GW they call them professions rather than classes.

I played a roguish dual dagger class - nto tried melee. Only played the first 8 levels as I want to save the fun til launch :)

By the way, did you play much? I am hearing that ranged is much easier to play than melee. What did you play?

Good. Probably due to having a decent high spec CPU. Apparently Arenanet made a statement that the game was currently very CPU bound and that lowering graphics settings would not increase performance as it's not optimised to use GPU much. Hopefully this is just beta stuff as many folks did comment on performance even on reasonable systems (if not top spec ones)

Bit worried by seeing a lot of reports of poor performance. Seems very CPU heavy, ignoring GPU by all accounts. Hope that's just a beta thing.
