Hey everyone, it's been a while since anything has happened with this Steam group but I'm in the process of setting up a Discord server as per request.

Hey everone!

Recently I was talking with someone during a livestream about setting up a ROBLOX game for people of the steam group. I'm not exactly sure how it works because I've only ever played single player before but I do know there is a friends list. I assume we can all join into a game together.

I'm not sure if you've ever had the chance to play the ROBLOX game called "Speed Run 4". It is a lot of fun, it's a running and jumping game. Would anyone like to get in on this game? If so, let us know.

ROBLOX is a free to play game you can get outside of steam and has a ridiculous number of games within it. Speed Run 4 is free as well and it's pretty fun. I will probably stream the match as well if we can get this all set up nicely.

Let me know if anyone is interested and what sort of time you can play.

The Trash Pit Steam Curator is a thing now.

With the recent changes to the Steam Curator I decided to check it out and it's pretty neat. I have started a Curator to help make it easier to spot the really good games as well as to warn people about the fake games and fake developers of which there is a ton. All games mentioned in The Trash Pit Steam Curator are ones that I have played myself with the exception of many of the listed fake games which I do not recommend anyone play or support.

There are three tiers for curator reviews and I use them as follows.

RECOMMENDED = These games are great and I love playing them.

INFORMATIVE = Games in this category are decent or okay. Pretty average stuff in this category. Occasionally there might be information in this one (Example: I found a game that is on PC and mobile by same developer for same price, so people might prefer one version over another)

NOT RECOMMENDED = Bad games or very poorly designed games, dead multiplayer games, mobile trash ports as well as FAKE GAMES.

In the NOT RECOMMENDED category I sometimes use special tags at the start of the Curator review, their definitions are as follows and are just opinions.

FAKE GAME - This tag means the game is either not a game at all (Example: Fake Achievement Boosters) or an Asset Flop.

+++ MOBILE SHOVELWARE TRASH - This Fake Game sub-category is for worthless shovelware garbage that spills onto Steam from a hole in bottom of the dumpster known as the Google Play Store / Apple App Store. Lowest quality, thoughtless, money grab garbage just pumped out as fast as possible and with no care whatsoever, to try and make a quick buck off people who naivly think these are real games.

FAKE DEVELOPER / FAKE DEV - This tag means the "developer" behind this game posts multiple fake games to Steam and has no care or respect for Video Games, Gamers or their potential customers. They seem to be only in it for a quick buck from any suckers that get tricked into buying their garbage. This tag is currently used on fake developers with at least 3 fake games posted to steam.

SPAMMER - I may use this as a tag or mention spammer or spam in the curator review. This means that this fake developer regularily posts fake games onto steam, be it daily, weekly, or monthly.

FAKE GAME RESKIN - This tag refers to fake games that should be DLC. They are usually the exact same thing reskinned over and over and posted as separate fake games when it should be DLC for the original fake game.

While anyone can see what any curator posts, if you follow the curators you get a nice box right under the game showing you the curator's recommendation and a mini-review. With so many games (and so many fake games) it's a good idea to follow a bunch of different curators so you have a better chance at finding out about certain titles and get multiple trusted opinions on games you may be interested in.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you also follow the Steam Curator known as Sentinals Of The Store. These folks are total pros at finding asset flops and shady dev behaviour. You can follow them by using this link here. I follow them as well, they are probably the most important curator here on Steam.
