Diplomacy is Not an Option is a city builder about trebuchets over tact, out this month

[img]{HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}[/img] Sure, diplomacy is a key in a whole lot of {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}strategy games, but it's not always the best option, is it? A new {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}city-building game coming to Steam later this month in Early Access certainly doesn't think so. Aptly titled Diplomacy is Not an Option, the new {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}indie game puts you in the boots of a "long-suffering minor lord" who's faced with invading hordes of angry folk and lacking in options, so it's going to be a trebuchets-over-tact kind of affair.

"Experience warfare on an entirely new scale as over ten THOUSAND enemy units assault your castle walls," the game's developer Door 407 explains on its Steam page, meanwhile asking a crucial question: Do you have what it takes to save the kingdom?" Oh, also: "Is the kingdom even worth saving?" Erm.

It turns out that's for you to determine. Diplomacy is Not an Option features a bunch of city builder genre mechanics that you'll need to keep on top of, such as food scarcity (which can cause soldiers to starve on the battlefield), disease management (plague is afoot), and the need to protect homes. There's an economy you'll need to keep afloat with stores of food, wood, stone, iron, and gold, and you'll have to manage resources carefully to keep your folks alive and city defended. Naturally, though, the big facet you won't be able to rely on is the ability to talk your way out of trouble or grease the palms of those that might invade you, which means combat's a biggie.

This mod adds a Doom campaign to Age of Empires 2

[img]{HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}[/img] Everyone likes Age of Empires 2. Everyone likes the original Doom. So why not package these two wonderful {HIVATKOZÁS TÖRÖLVE}old games together into one clicky, sticky experience? That's at least the reasoning behind Age of Doom, an Age of Empires 2 mod that pulls in artwork, sounds, and more from the Doom series to create an all new Doom-flavoured campaign for Age of Empires 2.

Age of Doom is basically a Diablo-style isometric shooter. The sound effects and sprites are all drawn from the original Doom games, but there are sound clips included in the campaign from later in the series. The campaign includes four episodes, plus a tutorial mission. Modder Hellknight61 says a final episode, called 'Hellhole Teleportation Portal Gate' is still in the works. You can swap weapons and shift tactics using Age of Empires II's chat panel - it's kind of genius.

You'll start out in the ruins of an ancient human civilisation discovered on Mars, eventually making your way to a UAC corporation base that's been invaded, as they inevitably all are, by a horde of demons. After that, you'll have to travel to the moons of Phobos and Deimos to shut down the hell portals there.

Hello Friday! Welcome to the group. Sorry things are a bit quiet right now. Best bet is just to look through our reviews library, see if anything takes your fancy. We've reviewed a couple of games like Strain and Doorkickers, but not many so far.
