Welcome to the Official Stony Brook eSports CS Group!

At the Stony Brook eSports Association, we have the desire to make sure Stony Brook University doesn't fall behind in establishing a presence in the growing industry of collegiate competitive gaming. Though many do not take competitive gaming/eSports seriously, the Stony Brook eSports Association fully understands that eSports are the next big thing when it comes to sports entertainment. Our staff and members give 100% in striving to make esports known at Stony Brook University.


Currently, we take it as our responsibilty to direct and manage a variety of highly-skilled teams to compete in collegiate events across the nation. The CS:GO division was founded in the fall of 2016 and our current CS:GO team competes in Division 1 of the Collegiate Star League.


In the near future, the Stony Brook eSports Association will become an officially recognized club at Stony Brook University. After this, we aim to hold weekly in-person meetings where casual matches can be played, the experienced members can teach newer/lower elo players, and professional CSGO games can be broadcasted. Additionally, we will have viewing parties during major proffessional CS:GO tournaments, as well as host our own tournaments for students of any rank to play in. Not to mention free snacks and swag givaways :)


1. You do not need to be a student to be in this group. However to join any of our teams, you must be a current student at Stony Brook University.

2. This is an official group for a Stony Brook Club. Even if you do not attend Stony Brook, please behave as you would in a classroom. Flaming, griefing, intolerance, verbal abuse, bullying, violent speech/actions, and any illegal activities are prohibited.

3. Scamming activities will be severely reprimanded. There is an absolute zero tolerance policy for scammers in this group. Please report suspected scammers to an admin in addition to reporting their profile on steam.

4. Nobody likes cheaters, and Nobody means nobody. Members of this group caught cheating in any way in will be treated and reprimanded in the same way that scammers would be.

5. Please keep profanity and vulgar language to a minimum on this group. You are free to say whatever you want using voice comms in game :)
