Whats Source Lobby?
--------------------------------

If you know what PlayStation Home is, you'll know mostly of what we're trying to do here. We are basically attempting to create a community space/virtual world around all of the current games that have been made by Valve that are of course on the Source Engine.


What will be so special about it?
---------------------------------

The point being that Source Lobby would provide to the steam community a virtual space/world in which players can meet one another on and to arrange things and have fun. On Source Lobby there will also be mini-games incase they cannot find anything else to do. We plan to introduce things such as the ability to create private lobbies with friends or strangers within source lobby that would take all of the players to a server of the lobby hosts choice, this wouldn't require any rcon passwords for anything. All it does is run a command line that will close source lobby and then do something like the steam connect command to an ip like 12.34.56.78:27015.

Going up to one of the signs within Source Lobby will take you to other spaces within the map that are otherwise known as additional spaces. These additional spaces will include themed areas for games and themed areas for mini-games and other fun things.

Currently we have came up with some mini-games in which we are just going to name for now. Some are really simple and some will need explaining:

Bunny Hop (Jump/Skills game)
Survival Cliff (Dodging/Survival game)
Freestyle Runners (Parkour game)
Zombie Flood (Survival/Horror game)
Down Under (Survival/Race game)
Snow Thunder (Shoot em up game)
Package Boy (VIP escort)
Volley Ball (Sports game)
Race to the future (Race game)
Poker (Card game)
Poker Showdown (FPS game but with cards instead of guns!)
Treasure Searcher (Find Objective game)
Catch Alyx (Chase/Survival game)
Find Freeman (Seeking game)
Farmers Hunt (Protect/Capture Objective game)

So whens it coming out?

Why was I invited here?
----------------------------------

We really want more people to know about what we are currently working on, by doing so we send invites out to people to get them into the group. We understand that if you dislike random invites, you can simply ignore the invitation or leave anytime you please. We'll understand... Well kind of until the Tank calms down a little and stops smashing up the rooms.
