Serious Face Gaming

Hey all,
I started Serious Face Gaming on June 6th 2009. It was originally a serious match community in CS:Source, without schedules or training. It quickly escalated into a core5 team in 2010 and once again fell apart because people weren't active enough - the bane of my CSS experience.

3 months ago today I re-started SFG in CSGO, I've stuck strictly to the original plan of playing serious matches, with good communication and teamwork but without schedules or any demands to be online at certain times.

In these 3 months I'm quite proud of our achievements we've had hundreds of good matches already, we've introduced many players to how competitive matches work, inexperienced players have gained a lot of experience and become solid competitive players and we've all had a lot of fun!

I couldn't have done it so smoothly without my reliable right hand man Skeletor who's helped a lot and provided us with our mumble server.
Crash and Crucks have helped keep me sane by always letting me have chats with them and blow off steam as well as being great teammates in-game.

Lpb. and Betullo haven't been with us for so long but already they've become core members of our community, great players, mature and reasonable. Lpb.'s calling has improved leaps and bounds and having such a passionate young caller driving strategy forward is a pleasure to experience.

Another notable player in our ranks is Lalli the great Finnish player with his manly voice who has also taken to in-game leading quite well.

If you're interested in some more formal competition and you have the time for it I implore people to make little teams and enter!

We could use it as an opportunity to bring more fresh blood to the group, I think with the number of active enough members we could enter 2-4 teams to the cup.

I think each team should have at least one quality caller, one player that can practice and take the AWP role and 3 riflers.

Also on the horizon I might be able to acquire a 128tick sponsored server from a guy I know, which means we could start playing more custom maps, more gathers (10 person inter-community matches) and IRC games against more organised opponents.

However if I'm unable to get that free server I think we're at a good enough size that between 40 people if we put in 35 pence (40 Euro cents) each per month to get a server, see how much we use it and then see if we need another one or not.

It's been a great 3 months! Let's hope the next 3 are as good as these!
We all make SFG as good as it is, so let's keep trying our best and having fun
