Install via Steam

Download ARMA and ARMA 2 2: Operation Arrowhead through Steam.
Start each game one time.
Download mod files DayZ. http://www.armafiles.info/dayz/
Create a folder and name it "@DayZ" in your directory Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.
In the folder "@DayZ" create another folder and name it "Addons". It should look similar to this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons
Extract all the files DayZ in the folder "Addons".
Install Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead Beta
Open Steam and right-click on the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead Beta, go to 'Settings', 'start Parameters'add "-mod=@dayz-nosplash-world=empty" without quotes and click OK. You can see the rest of the startup options here: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma2:_Startup_Parameters
