Reveal Force Gaming Community

I started our GameVox server back in mid 2014, before that a Mumble server hosted from my server PC and before that bumming off my brother's Ventrilo server lol...

Xibur and I had tried Discord out in Jan 2016 and it lacked proper message syncing to mobile app and voice calls were ok.. We left, but I kept the server up on it, knowing it was still in development with patches rolling out and we would be back again to try it later.

Fast forward to this month

Chrono mentioned that he had heard about Discord and was interested in checking it out. So I shot him invite to the server, we jumped back online and he liked what he saw, I noticed issues were finally patched too.

Now to be fair we've been missing more of a social hub for our community. RIP Reveal Force forum :( ... if you remember that was fun memories! Steam has never been great communication hub because no one goes to group page to chat, further more no one uses the G+ page of ours anymore (that I shutdown few days ago) and couple users and I being anti-facebook.

We've decided with all cool features included in Discord and everything working on it, to shut down our GameVox server and launched into something new!

The app is more social at its very core, option to be online in text channels without having to be in a voice channel has essentially been a rebirth of the forum in chat style format working flawlessly with file uploads, pinned messages, @mentions, gif support, and emote reactions, private direct messages. Runs from any browser without needing to install .exe (though doing so will let it display what game you are playing regardless of launch platform and will grant you push-to-talk option in voice channels and configuring your input and output devices) and its free! I've spent few hundred dollars hosting Vox for you guys so this is a nice bonus for me personally.

I would like to say thank you to all 35 users who came through our GameVox server. We enjoyed playing games with you and having a blast! We hope to see you on Discord.
