Group for the Quake Live Server hosted in Gauteng

The purpose of this group is so that bOris can easily keep the community informed about important updates regarding the server.

You can also:
- Share your ideas for the server on this group
- Report bad behaviour by players
- Or just talk kak if you want to.

Here are a few gametypes that I added to the server:

ca_bigrail
Changes the rail gun to do 290 damage, but you only get 3 ammo

ca_bfg_plasma
Enables the BFG, but it does the same damage as the Plasma Gun, at the same rate and projectile speed.

ca_instarail
Instagib Clan Arena

ca_extra
Moderately excessive CA

mg_ca_pql
Clan Arena PQL style

mg_ca_ra3
Rocket Arena 3 style Clan Arena

mg_ca_rockets
Rockets only Clan Arena, no splash damage.

New Game Mode

As requested by HeartOfPhos.

A new TDM, CA style game mode has been added.

It's essentially TDM, but you start with 200/100 Health and CA weapons.
No self damage, no friendly fire and no pickups exist.

To play this mode call vote a map using ca_tdm, e.g.

cv map campgrounds ca_tdm.

New Test Server

Hi all.

I've set up a new Quake Live server which may (or may not) replace the existing one. It should perform a lot better than the existing one, at the cost of additional latency, which would be around 5 milliseconds.

This server does not have a static IP address, so it might change from time to time (very rarely though).

The old server has been taken offline for the time being.
