Sandbox just had a hang (crashed but didn't restart; stuck in a loop) for just under 2 hours. This was due to a code oversight, and it should be fixed now. The server is back up and running again.

It could have been fixed sooner, but in my opinion, PuTTY should make itself a little bit louder when it loses connection to the server (instead of displaying an invisible pop-up and playing an error chime), like for example, yelling "HEY DUMBASS, YOUR SERVER JUST CRASHED!" as that would probably get my attention sooner. But it's partly my fault for not watching the server more closely :c

Looks like you guys are, sadly, going to have to wait a little while longer to use Spawnlist 2. This isn't really a delay! Here's the thing:

Today (Tuesday) Sandbox (and many other servers) need to be reinstalled. The majority of you guys will need to take half an hour to convert TF2's files over to SteamPipe, but Valve's decided (or has been unable to change the fact) that servers will need to be reinstalled completely.

Now, on top of this, which breaks the existing auto-updating/auto-restarting system we have in place (which is a mess that I forget how to control), SourceMod and all of our plugins will be broken (after a TF2 update? Say it ain't so!) and will most likely take a day or two for all of them to be updated by their respective authors.

So instead of dealing with that mess, we're gonna avoid the rush and just unplug Sandbox during that time, until we can get everything under control. So Sandbox won't be up for a while once SteamPipe hits.

This is to ensure that, once everything is fixed and good to go again, the first thing you guys see will be a fully functional Spawnlist 2!

Until then, Bastion has never looked so good.

Hai everyone. Just got back and realized Valve has shipped a TF2 update about 4 hours ago. And since the server doesn't mapchange anymore, there's no true automatic update unless the server crashes. And it didn't crash.

Long story short, Sandbox has been out of date for four hours; sorry about that! It's updating as I type this, and should be back within minutes.

Also: Valve has ETA'd (actually, basically confirmed) the TF2 SteamPipe update for April 23rd, so around then, expect to finally see Spawnlist 2, and a friggin' improved Sandbox! About time, too.

It's me again, with some more great news! Nope, not Spawnlist 2, but the next best thing. Maybe. I've installed a quickie plugin that should solve a number of issues that have been popping up recently.

• Sometimes, chat and Spawnlist suddenly stop working. This is probably happening due to a memory leak that has been addressed for Spawnlist 2; but the new plugin can detect when MSTR Bot isn't loaded anymore, and will reload it (and Spawnlist) when it breaks. Happy happy joy joy!
  
• !submit is broken. Sorry to everyone who's been spamming it with awesome ideas, but they've been sucked into the void since...a while ago. ;__; However, now I've completely broken !submit, so that it doesn't actually look like it's working. MSTR Bot should also shut up about it until it's officially fixed.
  
• Revolver spam. For the few of you who get adrenaline rushes from killing standing-still bots with a rapid-fire revolver: sorry. But, as I've said countless times, it lags the server into hell; so you'll now be automatically punished for doing that rapid-fire revolver exploit. Sandbox is laggy enough as it is!

That's pretty much all I can fix with such a simple plugin. Spawnlist 2. It's coming fairly eventually.
