The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Steam Group for Mefight Club Members

MefightClub started back in 2007 as an offshoot community of Metafilter. Metafilter members call themselves MeFites. You see where we're going here.

Of course, the joke only works if you pronounce that first syllable 'Meeee' not 'Meh', as certain *cough* cortex *cough* people have been known to do. Sigh.

Originally, Metafilter membership was a requirement for joining us at MFC, but that has been steadily relaxed over the years. If you're a grown-up and a friendly person and you want to hang out with other grown-up friendly people who love games, you're welcome to join in.

MFC was conceived of as a haven for mature (in attitude if not necessarily in years, although we tend to be a pretty old bunch) gamers who seek a haven away from the agression and sexism and *-phobic attitudes that infest so much of the gaming world. We value friendship, generosity, open-mindedness, tolerance, and scotch, not necessarily in that order.

We've grown over the years to include thousands of members from around the world and encompass a whole family of websites[mefight.club], including MefightClub[mefightclub.com] itself, FullGlassEmptyClip[fullglassemptyclip.com], Gamefilter[gamefilter.net], all hosted by your friendly neighbourhood wonderchicken[wonderchicken.com].

We reckon games are fun. And, sometimes, much much more.

Many MefightClub members also belong to our older Steam group, Metafilter -- we're all Mefighters, if not all MeFites. If that doesn't make a lick of sense to you, fret not. It is all good.

We have a couple of dozen game-specific subgroups, which you can generally discover by searching for 'rotato' or 'mefight'.
