For the machines are simply that: mindless, soulless, and incapable of feeling. We, as full flesh and blood, stand united against the horde, ready to beat them back.

Creating Your Own MvM Server

As we know, Launch Day was a mess (and it continues to be), with Valve servers being clogged beyond all reason. Fortunately, it's not incredibly hard to create your own server for you and your friends to play on. First of all, remember to port forward Port 27015!

Step 1: Click the '+' on the Main Menu for 'Create Server'

Step 2 : Select a map from the scrolldown menu

Step 3: Under the 'Game' tab, enter a hostname
MvM requires a 32-player limit

Step 4: Create a server password for a private game, or leave it blank for a public game

Step 5: Launch your server

Step 6: Once in-game, open up the console and type,
sv_lan 0
proceeded by,
map [mapname]

Step 7: Your server will restart and reload the map

Step 8: Invite your friends!
