The Horde has risen once again!

The granduer of the Mongol hordes have risen once again! We are the darkness, we are the light, the liberators, the destroyers, yin and yang. We model ourselves after the hordes of Mongolian nomads which rocked the world so long ago. Now we ride again!

The Mongol hordes have had a past of fragmentation, and come together occaisonally. A few of these have transformed into mass invasions, these being the Scythians, the Huns, and the Mongols. The Turks also came from the nearby Turkish steppes, and are the Mongols closest relative (aside from the tartars), even more then the local Chinese and Manchurians. The Mongols had their greatest invasion under the leadership of Temujin, better known as Genghis Khan. He unified the masses of the Mongol tribes, and led the massive Mongol invasion, which swept over Asia, Europe, and parts of Africa. Under Temujin, they took middle and North China, Manchuria, Persia, Khwarazem, Siberia, and Transoxania. His grandsons Odkje, Kublai, and Hulegu, ruled together, and took South China, Baghdad, Damascus, Russia, much of Poland and Lithuania, and South-East Asia.

Just as they had Japan, Hungary, Vietnam, India, and Egypt within grasp, they fell to infighting, disloyalty, and rebellion. They left a legacy of warfare, of trade, of exploration. They also left behind the Timurids, a horde remade by Timur the lame, better known as Tamerlane. They, in turn left behind the Mughals, the masters of India, the makers of the Taj-Mahal.


Together, let us rebuild the great glory of Khan.
