For fans of the classic Alien Swarm, you may wish to check out the rather awesome full blown standalone updated mod known as Alien Swarm: Reactive Drop.

A great deal of work has gone into updating the original Alien Swarm to have fixes, tweaks, new campaigns/maps, mods, weapons, (up to) 8 player, workshop, and more content to make for a pretty sweet release.

Got our groups old GoldenEye: Source server up an running nicely again, other than a few bugs now an then (server side unfortunately so have to wait for devs to fix).

Shame the game is Windows only atm (the devs plan on hopefully porting it to Linux in the future at least).

If ya ever fancy it (it's an action fps, based on the N64 classic GoldenEye, but updated graphics, more maps, etc, bit like playing TF2/Overwatch/etc just with a James Bond style lol, can think of it as the daddy of TF2 really hehehehe) you can get the installer here: GE:S v5.0 Full Installer (Official Link). NOTE: It'll self-install to your "steamapps/sourcemods" directory, so you will need to restart Steam to display it in your games list.

You can of course connect to the server via jrtx.jrnetwork.net:27116 (add to your favorites to get there easier in the future). The server has optional bots and will fill up to 8 slots with them to allow users to play even if there are no other users available at that time. Of course they'll auto-leave as other human players join.

Atm it is running at basic vanilla settings, so if you play on it keep that in mind. Let us know your feedback as we'll be tweaking settings over the next week or so along with enabling/disabling plugins an whatnot (including custom votes again to allow you players to pick an choose things).
