Dear Truckers,

After a long discussion with the higher management team, we regret to inform you that the HGVMP multiplayer project will be terminating with immediate effect. These past 6 months of doing the HGVMP project have been amazing, and a lot of it is down to your support but it has come to the point where we can no longer carry on.

We have decided to close down the project due to various reasons, one of which is we ended up with a single developer for the client and the website. As of late they have been swamped with personal client projects and can sadly no longer dedicate the time required to continue the project with us. With no developer(s) and no one stepping forward with an interest in development, we would have found it extremely difficult to continue onwards without major delays.

We did have an update announcement planned for earlier this week. We would still like to show the progress that was made, and hope it gives inspiration for others to possibly get a project of their own up and running.

The website was our main focus right now, built using a combination of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, and VueJS. Our goal when building the website was to give our users something to do when they’re not on the servers, or if they’re out and about and fancy themselves a browse.

There are no images for this as it was all code at the time and no in-game images.

Built using XAML with C# and utilizing the MahApps metro library for design, our launcher was still in the very early stages where progress was halted due to not needing it right away. Features were still being discussed, so very little is represented in the image/video but at a basic level it would have allowed for;

• Launch commands
  
• Auto-updates (both game + launcher)

We are deeply sorry to each and every one of you that we have failed to provide you with an all new multiplayer modification. When we had comments from members of the public, there was a lot of anticipation for the modification as for some people it gave the opportunity for a fresh start or something different.

The project maybe picked back up in the future if we have the right amount of developers/resources.
