The Greenspot is a news group devoted to bringing you the latest news in Greenlight and showcasing submissions in which it is apparent that the developer put a lot of time and effort into the creation of his or her product.

The inspiration for The GreenSpot came from the influx of groups that try to take money in exchange for promotion on Steam, which resulted in the public becoming incapable of trusting those groups.

Beware Of Groups That Charge Money

As you may have noticed, certain Steam groups have been tempting indie developers into joining their group under the guise that they only showcase the best that Greenlight has to offer. But thanks to a handfull of good samaritans, it has come the attention of the community that these groups are actually looking to make a buck off of the back of desperate indie developer's hopes and dreams.

Beware of any Steam group that asks for money in exchange for promotion, if only for your reputation. It would be a shame to see a really good developer have his or her name tarnished by simply being in one of those groups.
