Red, I used to have a 6950, I flashed it to a 6970. AMD was being stupid and letting their boards go with the ability to use 6950 or 6970 bios. The only difference was the power plugs on the board itself. After AMD found out that the 3rd party manufacturers were putting a switch on the boards to go from either one. AMD started laser cutting the cores out of the boards.
