Doughgrassi: the Next Generation [v 4.0]

Months of June-July-August!

BIG. ASS. CHANGES.

All previous servers, included the Original Dough Palace, will be moving from servers managed and maintained by our server host, to an unmanaged dedicated virtual machine.

Testing has been going on for the past 2 months on a single-core Linux server but we're expanding to two dual-core machines, one Windows-running and one Ubuntu-running, so we can host and play whatever we feel like.

Most of this doesn't concern you; opening dates will be announced later this week. Stats and points should carry over through the database. There's more freedom to run co-op games, Half-Life mods, and other experimental or throwback multiplayer games, on top of the usual Valve/Source games I've been running.

Surfing will return, original Dough Palace custom maps will return, and the smaller vps will be running the aforementioned mods/experiments. July will be Neotokyo and Guess Who? month.

tl;dr we're disappearing for a minute but then coming back, cheaper! better! faster! cooler! than ever...or something
