Elevating the WW1 Game Serie

In Isonzo you’ll be tasked with assaulting mountaintop fortifications, crossing rivers, and battling through ruined towns. The new Offensive game mode puts you in the middle of major historical battles on the Italian Front – lead the charge or prepare your defenses on dynamic battlefields. Fight for the iconic Salcano bridge, storm the outskirts of Gorizia and fight for the arid Carso plateau overlooking the Adriatic coast.

That’s right, in Isonzo you’ll have more power to shape the battlefield to your will. For instance, you’ve surely spotted the wire cutters in the trailer – these are one of many tools that will be available in the loadout system. Another new feature is rifle grenades – perfect for when you need more range than a thrown grenade, or more direct explosive firepower. And if that’s not enough… you’ll be able to operate your own artillery directly for the first time in the series thanks to the introduction of mortars. Work with your team to drop explosives directly on your enemies or knock out machine gun positions. React to the tactical situation with your weapon and gear choices – make sure to work with your team to cover all the bases!

The Christmas Truce in Verdun is coming as we prepare to remember the events of the Christmas Truce of 1914, which saw moments of respite from the horror and inhumanity appear across parts of the Western Front. Every few matches you will be able to throw snowballs, play football and send postcards on a special Christmas Truce map.

Sending postcards will give you a chance to win a key for Verdun or Tannenberg, a trench whistle, or a thermos. We’ll announce the winners daily on our Steam forums!

For the duration of the event, you can also buy a temporary DLC to support War Child UK, who support children affected by war or living in conflict zones. Doing so will earn you a Christmas Truce 2017 medal and give you access to the Christmas Truce whenever you want for as long as you want during the event.

Verdun DLC: Tannenberg 1914-1918 comming 2017!

Tannenberg is the latest entry in the 1914-1918 WW1 Game Series that started with WW1 FPS Verdun, expanding the focus to encompass the Eastern Front.

Warfare on the border of the Russian Empire offers a fresh experience for new and veteran players alike, with new squads and weapons, open maps that give players tactical freedom, and a whole new 64 player game mode!

This historical game takes place across the lakes, forests, and snowy plains of the Eastern Front - it was inspired by the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914 where the Russian Second Army was dealt a heavy blow by the Germans.
