Combined Araxsys Action Team

C.A.A.T. is a modern Arma III Tactical Realism project based on (not limited to) Special Operations Forces from all around the world.

A unit that seeks to take advantage of Arma III’s fullest potential by removing the limitations of military simulation and enabling a fictional roleplay that may vary from operation to operation.

A unit that on its structural foundations is organized by a total of 2 official ranks and 1 for guests: Friend, Trainee, Operator.
Meanwhile, it consists in producing active training and Small Unit Tactics classroom sessions by offering over 10 specified certifications at the Operator level, including:
Air Assault School, Designated Marksman School, Sniper School, Forward Observer School, Tactical Employment of Machine Guns, Team Leadership School, Squad Leadership School, Combat Medic School, Demolitions Specialist School, Advanced Close Quarters Combat, amongst many others. (All schools created by ex/ current military professionals or legit small unit tactics manuals enthusiasts).
Certifications determine priority on team positions during official campaign operations.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The unit uses a custom modpack that includes award winning mods like
Red Hammer Studios: AFRF-USAF-GREF, Ace 3, Taskforce Radio, etc. amongst several others. This creates a more challenging, varied and immersive experience.

There are basic requirements to become part of this exclusive group.
Members must be willing and capable of working with others actively and proactively as well as the ability to speak understandable english. Age requirement is 18+.

Operation Phoenix

Hello squad,
so lately it was really quiet on our Arma server and we should do something about that.
Im going to host a mission on Friday DEC 9, at 1700 PST.
I will create 2 missions. One of them will hopefully be fully scripted and a lot of fun and the 2nd one will be just smaller mission which will be just as a backup. If we are not going to be able to put together 8 players than we will play the backup mission and the scripted one will be played on another day.

I am willing to start some procedural scenario or "campaign" or whatever you want to call it, so it doesnt feel like we are just running around on the island and just blowing up stuff.
I have plenty of experience with creating campaigns and scenarios and most of them was already played by other Arma units, so its not some beta version and everything will work as its suppose to.

I hope we will get enough players so I can even pick one of you guys for Friday to play OPPFOR or CIV side with me and halp with the RP aspect of my stories and if you have any friends who own Arma and would like to join, even for just this time, let them know. The missions will be nearly vanilla, so no mod downloading needed.

In the next 2 days, I would like you to come to TS at least to get together so we know where is CAAT standing. We have the great advantage of having a server provided by the Admins of CAAT community, so lets put some good use to it.

I know that after switching to the repository a lot of us lost interest and that is why the next mission is going to be pure vanilla with only one mod and that is TFR (TFAR or whatever). Why? Because of what I already stated above and in last couple months BI came with some updates which improved vanilla medical system, performance, souds, movement etc.
So now ACE even tho its a cool mod and very immersive, its also very inconvenient in small goup such as ours.
With that said. When Im going to be hosting mission I want it as simple as possible so we can focus on what is important: "Killing ♥♥♥♥".
