Unsure on the length of time this has been true, but PRELOAD IS AVAILABLE. I'm fully downloaded, and prepped for day one patching. I hope you fellow preorderers are too.

Ah that's a shame. I only preorder Total War games out of habit really. Ever since Empire. It only really faied on Empire too, aha. What with the massive bugs etc.

Don'y despair, there shall be a sale soon enough :D
