The server will be updated to 16.3 on 01/09 at 20.00 GMT+2, only the world will be wiped as required by the patch notes. You have ~20 hours to fill your inventory with stuff you want to carry over to the next world.

The patch notes lead me to believe electricity is fixed and will be enabled again.

FYI, if your game is restarted it will automatically update to 16.3 and you wont be able to enter the server, you can roll back to 16.2 via the properties/beta's tab in the Steam library.

I've edited the .xml to remove the wiretool from the game, this however results in the server showing in the modded list.
Don't panic if you can't find it ;)

The server should be backup, there are some important changes, the wold data was wiped, everyone lost their bases (don't you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dare to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it, direct your anger at the pimps)

We're running on a new seed now, so go out and explore! Player data wasn't wiped, so you still have your inventory and skills. If you do want to start from zero you can ask an admin to wipe your player data.

The use of electricity is now BANNED, this is done by making the wire tool an invalid item, any player who picks this item up or crafts it will be auto banned without remorse

(jk, just ask the admin to undo the auto ban, as soon as you rejoin the server you'll be required to drop or scrap the wire tool, before the auto ban is enabled again!)

Reinstalling OS on a better disk.

Gonna see if there is anything to be done about the chunks not loading.

Suspected culprit is Electric appliances.

Chance is that the servercomputer will somehow catch fire and explode though...

The server will undergo maintenance this evening, expecting a few hours of downtime. Badger will get rid of the VM, reinstall the OS and server. Player and map data should remain unaffected. Hopefully the kicking and lag will be solved by this action.
