Bad Ass Mofo's - A No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 1.3 DoD Comunity

Hey everyone,

I would appreciate if you took the time to read this. I created paragraphs with 'The General Idea' and 'So now what' being the most important (if you don't want to read through all of this).

Introduction
B.A.M just celebrated it's 5th anniversary and what a time it has been. From a small group of people we have grown out to one of the biggest Day of Defeat communities currently out there. Day of Defeat (according to Wikipedia) was launched back in 2000, 12 years later we are still playing the game. Without the social aspect around the game, Day of Defeat wouldn't even made it a year, let alone 12 years. That same social brought us together. We are not merely people playing together, no this community goes way further. I've seen friendships formed, relationships started, from happiness to drama, from tears to laughter. No where in the world can you place a large group of people from all other the world with all their cultures, different languages and backgrounds together and have such a tight group like the B.A.M community, I am proud to be part of this community.

Although the B.A.M community has been a dream come true, I also believe we have to be realistic. The prime days of Day of Defeat are behind us and we are noticing this in traffic on both our servers and forums. The community is related to the game and while the game is progressively dying out, so will the community. Although we are a tight group of people, there needs to be common grounds to keep us together. Therefore we believe it's time to make some major changes to secure the future of the B.A.M community. Certain people would be able to slowly implement these changes but you know us, we don't do subtle.

The general idea
Bad Ass Mofo's will be implemented into Online Thunder Gaming as a game division. Online Thunder Gaming (OTG) is a new, yet to be launched, multi-gaming community created by yours truly with the help from several people from Bad Ass Mofo's with a special shout-out to my friend Flesh and Bones for all the graphics. There are several reasons why we believe this is a good move:

1. With people moving to other games, right now this means they are leaving the community. With Online Thunder they will be able to remain in the same community, just a different game division.
2. Costs for the web server and other resources used by the entire community can be shared among the different game divisions. With support for other games, bring in more players which hopefully bring in more donations.
3. By bringing in people from other game divisions we might attract new players towards Day of Defeat.

So why not just make B.A.M into a multi-gaming community instead of implementing it into OTG? One word: sponsors. No respectable website is going to provide information about an online community they sponsor called Bad Ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Although not fully utilized in the past, I believe sponsors can become a big part in support to our cause.
