Before we dive in, let me start by saying the above poster is not an official one. It's just a really well made poster by some eager fans. A few months ago, we started hearing about an alleged Assassin's Creed movie, this was later confirmed by Yves Guillmot himself at E3 along with a movie adaptation to the recently delayed, Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell.

Well, today we've received news that the movie's release has been delayed until August 2015. Originally planned to be released sometime before the end of 2013 but like South Park and Splinter Cell Blacklist, it's been delayed. The reason? The script is getting a whole new rewrite. Scott Frank, who was the screenwriter for Wolverine and Minority Report, will be giving the movie a makeover and Michael Fassbender will star as Desmond Miles.


The big question is, which assassin will Michael be playing as? Ezio, Altair, Edward or maybe even the infamous Conrad? I kind of hope they go with Ezio, I imagine the setting of Venice is much more appealing than the rest and we definitely don't need another pirate movie. The only thing we know about the movie is that it's being produced by New Regency Pictures and Ubisoft Entertainment. We also have this caption: ""A bartender is captured by a large corporation and sent into a machine named the Animus to relive the memories of his ancestors -- Most of whom are Assassins -- to retrieve powerful and dangerous artifacts".
