In Killing Floor, most people play normal or beginner even after they have reached level 5 or 6 and only want to kill spam or have the game be easy so that they can feel as if they are the best players. On harder difficulties the "Lone wolf" tactic no longer works even at level 6.There is a team dynamic that is required for survival starting on hard with a minimal recommended requirement of level 3 perks, suicidal requires more close attention and at least level 5 perks, and Hell on earth requires heavy teamwork and cooperation and level 6 of all 6 players is also required to be effective.

For a position where the lines are clearly drawn for example: after welding the doors to the left and right of "BIOTICSLAB" spawn point there is the single hallway where the specimens funnel through. Standing in the back should be the sharpshooters who only focus on; Fleshpounds, Skrakes, Sirens, and Husks. In the middle should be commandos (killing stalkers, clots, and crawlers), demolitions (killing groups or "clumps"), and firebug (burning everything) either standing or crouching depending on what is needed. And the front should be berserkers and support both crouched and firing off at anything that gets too close. Remember that it is not a competition for kills, success isn't how many you take down with you, its how many make it out with you.

In the more common situations of defending an area with many breach points on all sides for example: the rooftop of the map "OFFICE." Have 1 person stay at each breach location and the sharpshooters should try to stand in the middle to see each direction and the rest of the team should float back and forth to all breach points. EVERY team member should call out when they see a Fleshpound "FP" or skrake "SK". For those can easily rip the whole team apart.
