Hunting and mounting monsters!

A group for monster hunters and monster fanatics, preferably those who are both.

The group chat's niche is mostly for setting up hunts in the PC version of MHW given that the game is tied to this platform, but doesn't really serve much other purpose due to poorer long-term functionality.

Group announcements are regularly used for Monster Hunter game news, such as new releases or title updates.

Having a sequel with another word with 'W' really doesn't do wonders for acronyms, especially retroactively. But anyway, as most might have figured the game already came out, and with a surprisingly very strong release in player count.

Mind, does anyone even read these? Though I can't even run the game, I must inquire if anyone wants to be in touch with any form of relevant update.

Surprisingly, no timed exclusivity this time at all around, the game is also available for pre-ordering now too. However, it is not without a catch.

You see, there are some relatively insane requirements; Wilds' minimum specifications will beat out any machine from like 2017-2018 that could easily handle World at largely max settings (and Rise, but that's not a high bar at all). But the recommended specs imply you're not going to even get 1080p w/ 60 FPS on high with a mid-high range computer of today despite all of these meme technologies and cope measures like DLSS, dynamic scaling, and frame generation being suggested for use in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of an industry.

Also consider that:

Capcom has also used Denuvo over the past decade.
This year, they also introduced anti-modding middleware to much of their Steam library that doesn't actually do much, but reduces performance even further (because Japanese suits don't actually understand PC gaming).
The terrible optimization for Dragon's Dogma 2.
Sony is probably wanting to move the PS5 Pro somewhat (which will probably not run the game that much better) by making it look more favorable.
Intel, Nvidia, and AMD are ALL currently ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bed for different reasons. Be it by greed, incompetence, or both.
RE Engine probably sucks.

There are most definitely some very inconvenient circumstances in the meantime, should you want to play the game on release. Also it's 140 GB for just a high rank game. That's about equal to having both Iceborne w/ HD textures and Sunbreak installed.
