Time Period stats now available on Player Stats pages

We have added a Time Period option to the Player Stats page. Now you can view stats for Previous Day, Previous 7 Days, and Previous 30 Days, as well as All-Time stats for a single player and 2-player comparisons.

In order to display time period stats (other than All-Time stats), the player must have played on 2 different days during the previous 30-day period (the first day in the period is to establish a baseline).

Known Issues: A small subset of players are still not having their daily playing time recorded properly. This is due to a corruption problem in their Steam stats carried over from the old stats system, which results in Playing Time and Kills/Points per Minute stats being displayed incorrectly for those players. We are investigating an alternative method to calculate daily playing time stats using ACI login data for those players.


Player Recognitions

Although we did not do our various player awards this year, we did want to recognize some players who reached significant Honor Level milestones over the past year:

• Arkeiro progressed from Honor Level 90 to Level 95 and remains our highest honor tracked player
  
  
• Rookie broke into the 90-Honor Club last October and has since advanced to Level 91
  
  
• .ForSakeN is the newest member of the club, attaining Honor Level 90 at the beginning of last month

Our AAStats Steam Group continues to grow and we now have over 250 members. Remember if you join the group you do not need to have your Steam profile set to Public in order to have your stats tracked.

Another player we would like to recognize is slavebone. slavebone achieved a 90 Honor Level a year ago back on 2022-01-10 under the old stats system. Unfortunately, slavebone's stats did not carry over into the new Steam stats system when the old AAPG stats database was shut down last year.

Rounds statistics removed

Recently we were alerted to a problem with the player Rounds Completed/Won/Lost counts. Upon investigation, we determined that the rounds counts have been inflated since the changeover from the proprietary AA stats database to Steam. Although this was a problem under the old system that we had been working around, we thought it had been resolved with the change to Steam. Unfortunately that was not the case, and with individual match data no longer available to us there is no way to work around or adjust the incorrect numbers.

Accordingly we made the decision to remove all rounds based stats from display, including:

• Rounds Completed
  
• Rounds Won
  
• Rounds Lost
  
• Round Win Percentage
  
• Highest Round Score
  
• Kills per Round
  
• Points per Round

The other piece of bad news regarding the incorrect rounds data is that the Total Time Played recalculations which were recently completed depended on the rounds counts to determine a baseline for correcting the corrupted player times that were a problem under the old system. We will once again be recalculating Total Time Played values for all players, with the same method described previously but using Matches Completed as a base for the calculations rather than Rounds Completed. This recalculation should be completed in the coming week.

After many weeks of effort, Phase 2 of AAStats Steam Statistics development has now been completed. Stats history for thousands of player accounts who opted-in to AAStats since May 2022 have now been recovered from the old stats system.

With that history recovery completed, we were then able to recalculate Total Playing Time for all players. Times were calculated from a combination of available match data (prior to April 2022) and the number of a player's completed rounds through May 2022 multiplied by a player-specific time factor. Playing times after May 2022 were taken from Steam.

For players who opt-in to AAStats going forward, we have activated a time sanity check for those who were active in the game before April 2022 and may have incorrect playing time stats in Steam. This runs automatically when the player is first seen. The first time a player is seen also triggers a manual review to determine if the player has old history that can be linked. If so, the history is linked and the Total Playing Time is recalculated. Proceeding ahead the player's time will accumulate normally through Steam.

Players who are new to AAPG (after April 2022) and opt-in to AAStats have their playing times accumulated normally through Steam.

We have identified a small handful of accounts whose playing times are not incrementing in Steam. These appear to be players active in the game before April 2022 whose Steam playing time statistics have been corrupted to the point where Steam does not increment them correctly. We will be identifying those accounts and implementing an ongoing correction so those players will have their playing times accumulated properly.

If you were playing AAPG before April 2022 and your AAStats history does not display dates before then, please let us know on the ACI Discord server. We can try to locate your player history and we may be able to merge it into your current profile as long as you have not changed accounts.

To celebrate 2,000+ players opted-in to AAStats we are announcing the return of Weapon Challenges!

When AAPG began using Steam statistics, Weapon Challenge tracking and levels were lost. One of the final game updates allowed players to achieve Elite status for weapons in order to obtain the Elite weapons achievements. However, the way this change was implemented awards players Elite status for approximately 1/2 of the kills and challenge coins that were previously necessary.

AAStats has now re-implemented the Weapon Challenges based closely on the original requirements for the Weapon Challenge levels (Novice I, Novice II, Novice III, Veteran, Expert, and Elite). The original Weapon Challenge requirements can be viewed in this Steam Guide:

We have also re-created the challenge requirements for the M17 and SCAR-H (which are not listed in the guide) by analyzing player data from the old stats system. The Weapon Challenges summary is included on the player stats page. Click a weapon item in the list to see progress towards the next level of the challenge.

These are the differences between the old Weapon Challenge system and the new one:

• Excess for all level requirements (kills, coins, etc.) are carried over from one level to the next, rather than having to restart the counts at each level. We do not have the granularity of data available in order to reset and track each stat requirement at each new challenge level.
  
  
• M16 Veteran: 250 M16 Kills as a Rifleman has been changed to 250 M16 Kills since there is no stat that tracks kills by player role.
  
  
• M16 Expert: 500 M16 Kills as a Designated Marksman has been changed to 500 M16 Kills for the reason noted previously.
  
  
• SCAR-H Expert: 500 SCAR-H Kills with Iron Sights has been changed to 500 SCAR-H Kills since the SCAR-H Kills with Iron Sights stat unfortunately did not make the transition to Steam stats.
  
  
• Seven of the weapons require a minimum shoot house score to progress beyond Novice III. Because shoot house scores were not kept under the old stats system, the majority of players are at Novice III for those weapons unless they have accomplished the shoot house requirements since AAPG game patch 4.12.22. Advancing to the appropriate challenge level simply requires completing the shoot house requirement for that weapon again.

To correspond with the new Weapon Challenges, we have unlinked the display of Elite weapon achievements on the AAStats player stats pages from Steam. The Elite achievement for each weapon will only be displayed if the player has achieved the Elite level according to the new Weapon Challenge system. Elite achievements awarded by the game can still be viewed in Steam.

We hope that players have fun with the renewed Weapon Challenge system and enjoy tracking their progress through the challenge levels on AAStats.
