The True Affluence

In Islam, true wealth is not measured solely by material possessions or financial abundance but by the richness of faith, character, and good deeds.

Richness of the Soul:
"Richness is not having many possessions. Rather, true richness is the richness of the soul."
(Sahih Bukhari)

Material wealth is a trust (Amanah) from Allah, and with it comes a significant responsibility to use it wisely.

Spending for Good:
"And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your own hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good."
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:195)

We are encouraged to seek balance in our lives—striving for lawful sustenance (Halal Rizq) while using our resources to benefit others. Acts of charity (Sadaqah) and supporting those in need are pathways to blessings and purification of wealth.

Wealth and Accountability:
"The son of Adam claims, 'My wealth, my wealth.' But is there anything that truly belongs to you except what you ate and consumed, what you wore and wore out, or what you gave as charity and preserved?"
(Sahih Muslim)

True affluence lies in contentment, gratitude, and the knowledge that our wealth and actions will be questioned on the Day of Judgment.
