We just finished our first event, Death Run, and we wanted to thank everyone who joined. We feel that it was a great success, and we hope that everyone had a lot of fun!

First and foremost I wanted to apologise for the issue of the server crashing when the event had started. This was due to a misbehaving plugin that decided to start presenting problems as soon as we began - a great example of Sod's law in effect. We worked as quickly as possible to identify and resolve the issue and we hope that it did not affect too many people. Once again we are deeply sorry, and we will make sure that this will not happen again for future events.

As this was our first event, it was a great learning experience for us. We were able to gauge what aspects of the event were popular with the players, and what you guys loved or hated about it. We heard your praises and complaints, and we will work to incorporate these suggestions to make future events the smoothest, and most fun to participate in as we possibly can.

We want to congratulate the winners of each round, and we hope that you guys enjoy the key you each received. Spend it wisely! Use it to trade up! Trade your key for 2 keys! Nothing is impossible!

To those who did not win or were unable to join the event, we hope you aren't too disappointed. We are very grateful for your support, and don't forget that there will always be future events with opportunities to win!

We've almost hit 5,000 members, and all we can say is wow! Thanks to each and every one of you for your overwhelming support. This is the first in what we hope will be many milestones for our community!

Truth be told, we wanted to save this announcement until after we hit 5k. But we were just so excited we couldn't wait!

So to celebrate this milestone, we would like to announce our very first organised event.


Death Run is a game mode in which players must run through an obstacle course consisting of narrow corridors filled with deadly traps. One person is assigned the role of death, whose job is to activate these traps and wipe out the runners. The role of the runners is to avoid these traps and successfully make it through the course, where they can exact their revenge.

In our Death Run:

• all runners move at the same speed, which is the base speed of the pyro
  
• all classes are locked to melee weapons only
  
• melee weapons that give an unfair advantage (e.g the ullapool caber or the eureka effect) have been disabled
  
• cloaking has been disabled
  
• building sentries, dispensers, and teleporters has been disabled

1. if you are selected to play death, your goal is to simply wipe out the runners, which will result in you receiving a prize.
   
2. if you are playing as a runner, you must be the first person to make it through the course and defeat death, which will result in you receiving a prize. But don't think you can linger back and let the rest of the team sacrifice themselves for you, as there is a wall of death constantly looming behind you.

The first round will be a trial run with no prizes awarded so that all players, whether new to deathrun or not, can get a feel for the map and mechanics.

The winner of each round will receive 1 Mann Co. Supply Crate Key. There is also no limit to how many times you can win! However, we reserve the right to cap the amount a player can win - at the discretion of the event organisers - to make the event as fair as possible for all participants.

The winner of each round will be recorded, and prizes will be distributed soon after the event ends. This is because deathrun is often a fast-paced gamemode, so we want to avoid holding the game up.

The event will be lead by ~Sasuke200~ and The Genie on the following server:

It is a first-come, first-served event.

While we wish we could accommodate as many people as possible, we are only able to accommodate 30 players, so make sure that you try and join as quickly as possible before places fill up! The server will be locked until we are ready to start the event to give everyone a fair chance of connecting.
