What a difference a day makes.

After getting blown out by the Celtics just the day before, the Raptors rallied back today in an all-together stronger effort to pick up the victory.

Toronto started off early and started off strong with multiple players heating up. By the end of the 1st quarter, the team saw a 10 point lead over the Magic. The 2nd and 3rd quarters showed some rallying by the Magic, as they started to chip away at the lead, outscoring the Raptors in both quarters.

Just as hope started to dwindle, the Raptors exploded in the 4th with a vengeance, exhibiting great hustle and energy.

There wasn't a lot to criticize in the effort put on by the Raptors, as the team showed great chemistry throughout the game.

DeRozan lead the team with 20 points (8-16 shooting), 9 rebounds, and 2 assists in 38 minutes of playtime.

Bargnani scored 17 points (7-19 shooting), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks, and 2 steals in 39 minutes of game time.

Johnson put up 15 points (5-6 shooting), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals in 25 minutes of play.

Kleiza came off the bench and scored 12 points (5-9 shooting), and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes of game time.

McGuire also came off the bench and put up 11 points (5-9 shooting), 3 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal in 21 minutes of play time.

Calderon brought in 9 points (3-8 shooting), 18 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block in 42 minutes of game time.

Bargnani played with intensity today, and his effort was not to be understated in getting the team's win. He earned his +20 in +/-.

Calderon, too, cannot be understated in his contribution to the victory, as his play making earned him +15 in +/-.

Amir Johnson also stunned the crowd when he was able to drop a miraculous and unexpected trey - a feat he hardly ever attempts and makes (fifth in his 8 year career)!

The Toronto Raptors announced Sunday that Canadian-born centre Jamaal Magloire has joined the organization as a basketball development consultant and community ambassador. Magloire will assist with player development programs, help the coaching staff with individual skill development of players, and appear at organizational events and functions.

Magloire spent last season in a Raptors uniform, becoming the first Canadian to play for the club. He was born in Toronto and attended high school at Eastern School of Commerce.

A veteran of 12 NBA seasons, Magloire owns career averages of 7.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 22.9 minutes in 680 outings. He appeared in 46 postseason contests, averaging 7.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 19.8 minutes.

Magloire’s best statistical campaign came in 2003-04 when he averaged 13.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and 33.9 minutes in 82 games with the New Orleans Hornets. He was one of only 11 players that season to average a double-double.

Magloire captured Eastern Conference Player of the Month honours in April 2004, averaging 21.7 points and 12.1 rebounds. He was named to the Eastern Conference squad for the 2004 NBA All-Star Game held in Los Angeles, where he totaled 19 points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes.

Magloire was selected in the first round (19th overall) by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2000 NBA Draft. He has seen action with the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks, Portland Trail Blazers, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Miami Heat and the Raptors.

It was a horrible showing from the Raptors in their matinee game against the Celtics this Saturday. The Raptors started off the game badly once again, letting their opponent break out into a double digit lead by the end of the 1st quarter.

The team battled back to outscore the Celtics in the 2nd quarter, but were unable to keep up for the rest of the game.

Rondo picked up 20 assists in the game. After today's contest, Rondo's streak of 10 or more assists in a game has reached 33.

Jonas Valanciunas fouled out of the game after only scoring 3 points (1-4 shooting) and securing 2 rebounds in 19 minutes.

Coming off their triple-overtime loss to the Jazz the day before, the sore and battered Raptors had their work cut out for them in their game against the Pacers.

After leading the Pacers by 8 points in the 1st quarter, the Raptors didn't look back, and lead the Pacers for the rest of the game until the 4th quarter, where it seemed their exhaustion took their toll. The Pacers came back to cut the deficit down to single digits, and came close to tying or winning the game at the end. It was Toronto's lowest ever scoring fourth quarter in franchise history, scoring only 5 points. Luckily the Pacer's shots at the buzzer did not drop, and the Raptors held on to win a gritty game on the road to snap their 4-game losing streak.

Calderon also showed up to play tonight, picking up his first ever triple-double as a Toronto Raptor.
