Hello folks. I've set up a new map for the new build as of today. Same address as always. If you've forgotten, drop me a line.

I've updated the server to the new hmod that functions with the new beta game.

Stargates don't work exactly like they used to, due to a change in the way signs work. Destinations are not shown on the signs any longer, but will appear in your chat window as you cycle through them.

Also, avoid fixed (single, hard-coded destination) portals for now. There appears to be a problem where they may vanish after a few uses.

The roads are mostly "safe" now. The farther you go from Spawn, the less likely they are to be completely safe. Monsters shouldn't be able to get on most of the road, but skeletons can still fire over sections of the fence (I'm working on that bit).

If you are off the road and need to get on, look for an access door. They have torches on top of them, and are generally the taller structures on a road. If you need an access door somewhere, put one in. I'll come by later and make it look better.

And if you'd like to donate wood or fences, that would be awesome.

And speaking of donations, If you haven't seen the compass rose yet look at the map. It's in a body of water at the end of Highway 1 (Northwest of Spawn). I could really use some more clay to finish the red part.

If I've done things right, a new map should be generated shortly after noon each day, and the Current-World2 item should link to it. If you want to compare to previous days, look them up by date.

A few notes. There are large white areas that are not snow, I believe these are chunks that have not yet been generated because nobody has seen them yet. Also, if you download the image, you can zoom in farther than your web browser will let you for a bit better detail. North is not the top of the map, so orient yourself by landmarks. Some colors are re-used, so yellow dots are either torches, flowers, or gold, we think. Also there is an isometric view of the first map, but that is much larger and takes several times longer to generate, so will only be done occasionally.

You may notice some obsidian structures around. These are part of the Stargate mod. They have signs on them. Right click the sign to dial a destination, then press the button on the other side to activate the gate.

These can be built, just copy the setup of an existing one. The gate should activate once the sign is installed. If it does not, let me know, and I may need to fiddle with some permissions.
