Steam Groups provides features that makes it easier to coordinate games and share invites. In my experience, you often spend more time getting a game to work, than actually playing it, so hopefully this helps.

Feel free to invite your own friends, everyone gets moderator tools by default, so you should be able to send invites, edit games, coordinate invites etc.
