Hi to my fellow clanmates, I'm gonna talk about this in details to each of you individually but I also want to make this big announcement on our Steam page.

The famous e-sport tournament website is going to host AoM:EE tournaments for the beginning of 2016. I will be in charge of the project and it is my duty to collect you guys's opinions.

How will it work ? There will be weekly tournaments every sunday afternoon. Those are open registration which means that anyone can register for the cup and play. The numbers that the ESL wants to reach is approximately 30 players per tournament. The cup in itself will only last for a few hours (it starts in the beginning of the afternoon, and ends by the evening).

The rules will be simple, yet innovative :
1v1's only, bo3 for the entire cup except finals bo5. There will be a map ban/pick system working like so (bo3 scenario) :
player A bans a map - player B bans a map - A again - B again - A again - B again - A finally. A has a 4 maps ban advantage compared to B who bans only 3 maps. However, the picking process works like so :
player B picks a map - player A picks a map - B finally. That way, player B has a 2 maps pick advantage compared to A who only has 1. Same process repeats in bo5 scenario (ban: A-B-A-B-A pick: B-A-B-A-B).

The maps that are gonna be available are the following : Mediterranean, Anatolia, Midgard, Watering Hole, Savannah, Tundra, Marsh, Oasis, Ghostlake and Alfheim (basically the random set map without Highlands).

There will or will not be god rotations (meaning you can't play the same god twice in a row during a match), this has to be thought about.

Each player has a veto that he must use wisely : in the first minute of the game, player A or B can ask for a veto and the game will be re-started : same map and same gods. One veto is available per match (so you only can veto once during the entire bo3 or bo5).

The idea behind those rules is to get both fair and exciting matches for people to watch and the whole map banning/picking process adds another dimension of strategy outside of the game.

This is all going to shape up in January 2016, more informations will be shared with you guys and the Steam AoM community as I get awareness of them. Please make sure to spread the word to your friends on Steam so that we can have the most success possible when we launch this ! ;)
