I'm guessing this plan fell through. What a shame...

I can't lend a (technical) hand, but you've got all the moral support you need from me. I love Shenmue and would love to see something like it on Steam, and perhaps even as a free MMORPG, as long as it didn't distort the story/game.

But I propose that you change your aim from Shenmue specifically to something like Shenmue, otherwise you'll run into a lot of complex licensing issues.

Are you guys still working on this? I was bored as hell today and suddenly remembered how much more fun i had when I was a kid playing dreamcast, then I remembered Shenmue, and was like, damn I should like make a Shenmue Source, that would be bad ass, but then i bumped into your post on Shenmue Dojo, and was like OMG!!!!!! YES! Anyway, if you guys need an extra mapper I would LOVE to lend a hand
