the thing with the t1 servers that got started for public is that sooner or later some members of the group will join, they want invite some freinds or simply dont want to loose so they start kicking. then the other team does the same and the nicely pub lobby that was meant to be for almost everyone gets pooped.
also since officials not working its a nice place to pubstomp.
we all did it.
its also a nice place to just play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and even be able to get some people to join and donate for the group on which servers we all like to play.

Try avoid pub T1. Join the Error chat, wait for post notifications, and join some mixes posted there. Pubs can be extremely toxic, as literally anyone across Steam can randomly join. If you play some Friends Only mix games (ez1, T1++, etc.), I'm sure you'll find most people welcoming and friendly.

Guys, why are you so toxic towards newbies at this level? I have 1k hours in L4D and L4D2, they constantly kick me for the slightest mistakes. Where do you want to get newcomers to a game that is clearly losing active players every year? This zero tolerance drives everyone away from the game. I sincerely don't understand why you do this ((

@Apophasis Yea, im sure of it aswell. Im pretty sure it could be modified, but seeing how rarely custom campaigns are played im not sure if its worth investing time to do so.

Since most players playing on this server are professionals, I don't think infinite horde will be a problem. Normal versus commons isn't that hard. Like chapter 4 of dead air map and death toll chapter 4.

Pls give us infinite horde! Would be fun for the first few times, then I'm sure you'll get tons of complaints :'D

I did see the infini horde thing though. Tbh, I think it'd be a nice challenge (though maybe pausing / moderating during tank would be needed).

@rh4xor correct me if im wrong, but the night version of sacri has no other differences than skybox? As for Blood Proof, i've had a quick look, and it seems ok at first appearance but the downsides are that its only 3 maps long and on 3rd map you pretty much have infinited hordes through out the map, so to make it versus playable it would require quite a bit of work.

When I play Tank on off. servers I get spectacular lerp misses due 100lerp-surviver walked sideways 0.2s while tank just stays on point being close and hits moving mouse. Because due lerp surv's hitbox moved much farer while tank stays.

I must thank you for injecting that classic feature into Error servers despite everyone is 0 lerp and ping difference is only ~30 ms.

I feel like that would be a good votable option, in the 200+ ez1 games ive played I have never seen a scout used, but can imagine m2 removal being voted for a lot

@Mid, but buffed weapons are not a requirement of removing m2, correct?

Leaving weapons stock, but just removing m2 is what I'm talking about -- not asking for over powered, buffed, or non vanilla weapons to compensate, just making hunter m2 removal votable.

@Seizure Salad Removing m2's would involve other changes too. I belive changes like weapons buffs etc. would be required to compensate for the lack of m2, which is not something im willing to change. Vanilla weapons are fine as they are, its just that players were spoiled by buffed weapons in other configs.

Suggestion:

How about having hunter m2 removable with a vote, similar to how scout can be voted for?

Maybe just on ez1 servers, to allow for more of a competitive feel, while not disrupting the default settings (if it's a vote in game, players can decide to leave m2 on hunters active, or remove it for that specific game).

Disable block of kicking spectators. Leave the block only for kicking players of opposite team.
[SM] Cannot votekick player that is not on your team!

Also, as suggested in the past, please let writing !ready in non-confogl modes.

P.S. Don't ban for RQ if it is within first 3 minutes of playthrough or after joining. Sometimes you need to see few attacks to understand monumental discrepancy of skill between teams or toxic behavior of teammates that there is no sense to continue playing.
