This has been a fun filled week. I've been extremely busy with work, but keeping up with the server on a daily basis. Even had some solid game time in there. ;)

I've also posted a couple events on the calendar. One is an event this coming weekend involving a treasure hunt. The other is a community meeting where we will all meet and discuss changes to the community, events, and take questions:

I'll be adding more events over the next 24 hours.


I will be adding some lore to the website with a section giving a basic backstory to the servers. I will be adding events that will tie into the lore and progress the storyline along. But I want your everyday interactions to help guide this story. As events and interactions happen in-game, it will vastly affect the outcome of the overall story and I will update the lore as we progress. Which means you will ALL have the opportunity to affect the lore.


I know some of you had some server performance issues in the beginning of the launch. I worked with our host and they were unable to resolve the issues. Because of that, we switched our host. This new one has been amazing. I have been monitoring the servers and can recall only ONE single crash. They've been so solid that I've now pushed back the 6 hours restarts to become 12 hour restarts. So every 3am and 3pm EST, you will see the servers briefly come down for restarts.


Lastly... population. We've had a fluctuating number on the servers and sometimes dropping to just a couple at a time. There are a lot of factors that come into play here and being experienced in server management and community managment... this is something I watch closely. The biggest factor as explained in my State of the Community has been the number of servers vs the number of players. It's completely unbalanced. That will change over time when these other servers start closing down. I guarantee we'll be the last one standing and you're going to be happy you stuck with us.
