The Point of This Group: This group is to raise awareness for such a great game which is currently being remastered by Blackout Studios! This is also a group for fans who want to meet other people who share the nostalgia. Rep Com is a game that was way ahead of its time, and at $9.99 for all it offers, it's a great deal! Play the game, love the game, and save the Republic Commando timeline!

About Republic Commando:
Star Wars: Republic Commando is a team based FPS that was released in 2005, it was then followed by a five book series written by Karen Traviss. The game and books take place during and after the Battle of Geonosis from the perspective of Republic Commandos, elite clone troopers bread and trained for covert ops. In the Rep Com game, you play as Boss, the leader of Delta Squad, you tell your teammates Fixer, Scortch, and Sev what to do like where to set charges, how to breach doors, and to take up assault positions. Unfortunately, the Rep Com storyline (books and game) has been deemed non-canon, the only canon Delta Squad is their brief appearance in SWtCW in the episode 'Witches of the Mist'. This is massively disappointing but the fan base is what keeps it alive!

Also checkout the Republic Commando books by Karen Traviss, they really enhance the feel of the game and add to the extended universe durring the Clone Wars era!

*Note: The Republic Commando books and games are no longer considered cannon by Disney, only RC Gregor and Delta Squad, portrayed in Star Wars the Clone Wars, are cannon. However, the books and game remain cannon in the hearts of us fans!

Picked up the game over the sale after hearing high praise from it. So far the campaign has been really fun.
