I think it's about time we restart this tier. No reason to just sit around and do nothing. I'm looking to start this as a bit more conventional tier this time. We will be in 1800-2015 depending on what you guys vote for. We will have a simplified economy system, that is set by the country's size/status relating to the amount of armies and navies. And that is about it for now. I will arrange a year vote soon, after which the sign up will be opened and the rules made, after which I will update the map.

The Battle of Lodi was fought on May 10, 1796 between French forces under General Napoleon Bonaparte and an Austrian rear guard led by Karl Philipp Sebottendorf at Lodi, Lombardy. The rear guard was defeated, but the main body of Johann Peter Beaulieu's Austrian Army had time to retreat.

The Battle of Lodi was not a decisive engagement, since the Austrian army had successfully escaped. But it became a central element in the Napoleonic myth and, according to Napoleon himself, contributed to convincing him that he was superior to other generals, and that his destiny would lead him to achieve great things.

Because there were no sign ups for some characters involved in the battle, anybody can volunteer to fight as them. "First come, first serve" -principle is enabled.

Tomorrow we will officially start the tier. A Start of the Tier -Meeting will be held at 17:00 GMT. All who want to participate in the battles is invited.

In order to get the things started we need the positions filled. Currently 17/34 positions filled, so we're half way there. If you take those additional positions we could be ready to go in no time.
