The story of the Royal Regiment of Artillery begins somewhere in 2012, in a regiment called the Det Danske Auxiliærkorps.
A Danish regiment that overtime became more international, to the point where the remaining members decided to rename and reform.
So in 2014, the Det Danske Auxiliærkorps became the 1st LOB (1st Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry). But that was not the regiment that the members wanted it to be. Attendance was low, barely anyone joined and the enthusiasm quickly died.

The community needed a new plan and decided to reform and rename once more. So, on 16 February 2015, during a meeting with remaining members the following was decided by voting:
1.The community would continue playing as artillery.
2.The name of the community would be Royal Regiment of Artillery.

Within months the RRA expanded because of fortunate timing, old friendships & massive recruitment to a regiment with artillery, light infantry, 2x line infantry, cavalry & riflemen.
Unfortunaly, after 2 years, the RRA came to an end. Multiple unfortunate factors that occured at the same time led the RRA to disband.

When Holdfast: Nations at War released the regiment was reorganised for the new game. The regiment had a healthy community of new players, however, due to inadequacies with the game, after a year, the regiment decided to dispand once more.
The community has since been dispersed and split apart, however, since February 2019, old and new community members got together to form the RRA once more.
