De Oppressione Liberare! PS2 Outfit

Hello folks,

I hope that the active players read this, although it seems that most of the stuff I have been writing on the forums was not seen by many members.

I have decided to disband the outfit and let everyone of you decide where to go.
The reason for this is that during the final months of my thesis I was not able to continue playing as much as would have been required for the outfit to stay active. With a lack of platoons, online members and community effort DeOL practically died. Some very active members left already because what DeOL could offer them was not enough. After my thesis is done I will have more time playing for a while but this is bound to change soon.

Leading and organizing an outfit requires a tremendous amount of time with outfit meetings and organizational affairs regarding server smashs and outfit cooperation, maintaining the forums and running around to get members for events. I will not spend all of the free time I have for a few weeks trying to rebuild the outfit.

DeOL was an interlude from the beginning, yet developed first signs of a lasting outfit. These were destroyed when my real life cought up and I am sorry if I have disappointed anyone. Nevertheless, I am absolutely sure that those of you who are still playing Planetside will find a good outfit to continue.

To help you on your way I will describe a couple choices here which I think are worth checking out.

TEIC (Terran Imperator Company)
With about 60 active members TEIC is a medium sized outfit that has lately drawn a lot of energy from the participation in Server Smash events. In the first smash with our participation, they filled our squad with 2 members, in the last smash we were filling theirs with 2 after many DeOL guys could not make it. We have been working well together and I personally like all of the members I had the chance to talk to and play with. They seem to be moving towards a slightly more competitive play style but are no "elite squad".

RimG (Red Impact)
The currently biggest outfit on TR that deserves the name. SoliderRush and SniperWolf lead Red Impact and do a very good job at that. SoliderRush is a tactician and has shown a tremendous amount of support for the faction as a whole supplying the leader forums (discontinued lately), platoon leader mumble and other things. The outfit benefits from good squad and platoon leaders, very active members and of course its size.

AOTR (Army of the Terran Republic)
A medium - large sized outfit originally from Lithcorp (my own home). They continued playing on Cobalt after the merge and have been running private platoons for quite some time. I know too little about their inner workings to give much advice but think they are definitely worth a closer look.

DGMA (Deutsche Online Gamer Allianz)
A German-only mutli-gaming clan that has a competitive play style with a focus on infantry. They have taken in members from former outfits such as GEFO and are currently the only larger tactical German-only TR outfit I know of.

I will most likely join TEIC myself after a grace period of two weeks during which I will keep the outfit ingame, inform members and continue looking into the forums and I encourage all of you to speak to me or the outfit leader xLesserDragonx if you are thinking of joining.

P.S. As I said, there will be a two week grace period ending May 25th. Everyone who is still in the outfit by then will be removed.

P.P.S. Regarding the next server smash, I will withdraw the squad reservation. Sorry for all of you that were looking forward to this.
