This group is dedicated to stopping phishing before it's too late.
Phishing is the hijacking of another's account using false links or giving away someone's password.
Phishing is something nobody would want to go through, and we are here to prevent phishing from happening.
If you see any phishers, start a discussion in this group and report them as soon as possible.

TIPS ON HOW TO DETECT A PHISHER:
1: If a Steam account does not look reputable, do not trust it.
2: A trader would not ask somebody else to ask for a trade. A trader would send a request on their own.
3: Do not trust a link that is disguised to look like steamproxy.com. Those are always phishing links.

4: If somebody asks for your credit card information, your address, or any other personal information during a trade, do not trust the trade.
5: DO NOT GIVE YOUR PASSWORD AWAY.
6: A real SteamGuard wall would only ask for your email verification code. If it asks you for anything else, it is a phishing attempt.
7: Do not trade for game keys. You can easily get caught in a scam.
8: Do not download any "Steam Key Generators" or provide your Steam password to one. They could be attempting to phish your account.
9: Check an account for +rep. Always make sure the people providing the +rep are credible.
10: Report all phishers, regardless of whether or not they phished you or not.
11: Do not click on links provided by random users.
12: Steam Support will never send you a PM or ask for personal info. Do not fall for one.
