Welcome to Neptune's Paradise Deathrun! Some of you may remember me from NyeBlock Deathrun. You probably miss all the fun times you spent on the server. I now aspire to make my own deathrun server. My goal is to create a thriving deathrun server where everybody can play and have fun.

Why Garry's Mod Deathrun?

While the game is outdated and not many people play it anymore, I have amazing ideas that have never been seen on any deathrun server. I need somebody to help me bring my ideas to life. This is why your support is so important. I have a friend who does not even like Deathrun yet after I told him my ideas, he even thought they were great ideas. My ideas will be highly classified in case somebody wants to steal them. If you want to know more about my ideas leave me a message on steam.

My FIRST server test

What I plan to do for my first server test is to play-test a collection of maps that I have downloaded. Some might be very underrated and awesome while others can be atrociously bad. My first step towards making sure everybody has the best experience possible is adding whichever maps you guys think are the best. You are probably wondering why I want to play-test a bunch of maps to begin with. The simple answer is that sometimes there are problems that I cant catch unless if there are at least 2 players on the server. (example - there are no spots to spawn the deaths) Message me on steam for more details about the first server test.

MASSIVE SERVER UPDATE!!!

I thought I'd update you guys on how the server is going. (About time?) This is a reminder that Neptune's Deathrun Paradise is still very much a thing and I have not abandoned this project. In fact, this is the best my server has ever looked. This is mainly because I have permission from one of my friends to use his code on my server. (Very special thanks to A Chicken Nugget)

Last year I claimed that I wasn't going to put a lot of effort into my server and that it would look exactly like any other deathrun server. I am very proud to announce that this will be far from the truth. My server now looks wildly different than any other server I have seen. Given that this has happened the development of my server has greatly accelerated. You should be very excited for what's about to come!

MAP TESTING will be very soon

An exact date is still up in the air but the minimum will be 2 weeks from now but no longer than 3 months from now. (because at that point im just being a lazy fuck) There are very few things I want to do before I officially test the server. I'll make some changes to the mapvote and then decide whether I will test my server in single player or if I'll create a dedicated server. Afterwards I will officially test my server.

Everything about the server test:

Short answer is we will only be testing maps. This is so I can get a better idea on what maps I should or shouldn't add. The maps we will be testing are below:

Collection A
Collection B
Collection C
Collection D
Collection E
Collection F

I highly recommend only subscribing to the first link. The reason all these maps are separated into collections is because there are a lot of maps. I will post an announcement so everybody knows when to join. Leave a comment below if you want an invite instead.

My server CANNOT be found using the multiplayer search or the legacy browser. You will have to join my server by going to friends (the one on the far top left) > view friends list > right clicking my name > and joining game. If for some reason you cant join my server ask for an invite from me.

We will begin on gm_flatgrass while we wait for the rest of my friends to join. When we are all ready I will start a mapvote and you guys will decide which map we will test first. After we load into the map I will disable it in my addons menu so I know we tested that map. After we are done with the map I will use the ULX menu to start another vote. You will then rate the map between 1 and 5. If you think the map was incredible vote 1 if you think it was dog shit vote 5. I want at least 3 players (not including me) to vote. If the player count drops to 3 I will end the map testing and resume tomorrow. After we are done testing all the maps in Collection A we will unsubscribe from it and move on to Collection B. So on and so forth. The server test will last multiple days because we will be testing 300 maps. If a map gets overwhelmingly good ratings I might add it to my official server. If you're talking about pointshop customization yes. You'll definitely have player customization. ;) And I'll try to have that done before the map testing.
