It's break time at the office for Narmaya! She is getting more and more tired these days and finds that she's craving sugar more often. She just bought her favorite sweet drink, Green Tea Macchiato! Unlike other bubble tea, Narmaya's little secret to drinking this is to cut the edge of the seal and sip through. Don't use a straw!! It ruins the fluffy foam.

It's so addicting! Narmaya's pretty worried she's drinking too much, but she's making sure she dieting healthy and exercising regularly to always look her best. Speaking of drinks, there's a trending game that caught her eye a few days ago. It's a cute indie game about managing your own floating cafe in the clouds! Narmaya hasn't personally tried the game out yet, but she really hopes there's Green Tea Macchiato inside.

One of the companies Narmaya had previously applied for was Skeleton Crew Studios in Kyoto. Interestingly, she just found out she still has the email she sent them 5 years ago. Back then, they were more of a humble startup and still weren’t very well known.

So imagine Narmaya’s surprise when she saw one of their games featured on Steam’s front page! She has a lot of work to do in the coming days, but hopefully, she can find time to try it out soon.

Before COVID came, Narmaya used to work at Polygon Pictures Inc. Japan! It was tough getting a position there. She spent so much time sending out emails to different companies, but no one really seemed to want her back then. Narmaya thinks she had studied really really hard, having graduated from one of the top. Alas, Japan! It's just so competitive!! But in July 2019, she finally scored an interview with Polygon Pictures Japan!

Narmaya's time there felt like a dream, she watched Anime premiers before they officially launched in cinemas, worked on anime movies like Knights of Sidonia, and even designed environments for Street Fighter cinematics. After Narmaya left, she found out some of the games her wonderful colleagues worked on were published on Steam. And that, is the story of how Narmaya came to buy Hop Step Sing!

A lot of stressful life events happened in the past year, and Narmaya rarely had the time to curate the games she played. Looking back, she played a lot of wonderful games she has yet to share, and plans to seriously curate more in the coming days.

One of them happens to be PANIC IN SWEETS LAND. It's not the most amazing Side Scroller, but Narmaya found it pretty enjoyable. The story is silly and whimsical with good localization, and not to mention it's voiced by the famous J-Pop group TrySail! Narmaya's pretty sure some of you must have heard their anime songs before. Did you know? Narmaya was born on the 16th of October, in the year of the dragon. RAWR. Speaking of dragons, Narmaya adored Fairy Tail as a child. Even now, the concept of magic, dragon slayers, and wizards still seems so dreamy. It’s not hard to tell that her favorite genre has and probably will always be Fantasy.

Narmaya’s pretty happy to know that more Fairy Tail games have been released recently. She’s even gotten all available Fairy Tail games on Steam to date to 100%! But all that said, rewatching Fairy Tail in 2024, she has to admit the animation and story didn’t age very well. Nonetheless, Narmaya just wanted to share a bit more of herself on this special day.

Narmaya is still eagerly waiting for Fairy Tail 2’s release! It’s rumored to have transitioned from turn-based to real-time combat. That would be super exciting if only it wasn’t so expensive in Singapore! Urgh! She probably has to work even harder next month. But today, she shall game!
