A clash between Finnish border troops and the Russian vanguard occured today. Ill prepared for the assault, Swedish troops wavered against the initial attack, but rallied when the King arrived on the field. After ferocious fighting however, the line broke with the King himself getting wounded.

The rest of the Swedish army is continuing to mobilize to counter the Russian invasion in Finland.

Today British forces of the combined armies of King James and Major-General Sir John Collinson landed on the southern crimean coast which is held by the Russian Empire, this movement is to relieve pressure off the Swedish and Prussian armies further north. The goal of this campaign by King James is to Siege and capture the russian fortress dockyard of Sevastopol therefore providing a base for the British Royal Navy in the Black Sea. The Russian Tsar may engage our British force when he wishes, but until then we are sieging Sevastopol.
