"The Miami University Varsity Esports program is pleased to announce our Fall 2018 team tryouts, starting with our kickoff/launch all-games information meeting on September 4th from 6-8 pm in Laws Hall room 201. If you wish to try out for any of our teams, you must be present for the information meeting or must contact [email protected] before 8 pm on September 4th.

Tryouts will be scheduled for each game during the information meeting, but each team is likely to conduct tryouts during the evenings of that week (the 5th, 6th, 7th and potentially the weekend). We plan to announce our rosters for 2018 on September 12th.

This year we will be supporting varsity teams in: CS:GO, Hearthstone, League of Legends and Overwatch. We are considering the following games depending on interest shown at the information meeting: Heroes of the Storm, Smite, Paladins, Rocket League, and Fortnite. Our Smash Bros Hatchery teams will continue in 2018, but tryouts for Smash will be handled at a different date/time through the Smash Club. If you are interested in a game not listed here, there will be an opportunity to make a case during the information meeting or you can email [email protected] or [email protected] .

All players are welcome to attend tryouts, but the following are the ranking floors (the lowest rank to be competitive) for our varsity games:

CS:GO: matchmaking mg2, faceit level 7, OR esea B
Hearthstone: 5 on the Standard Ladder
League of Legends: Diamond 4
Overwatch: Diamond/3000 SR
