I can't thank the guys at Coinbase enough for being so quick to tackle the whole issue. They also took responsibility for the exploit so KeyVendor did not suffer any financial loss nor did its users.

This was the first time in KeyVendor's history when we failed to deliver instant payments for keys. There are a total of 6 people who didn't receive their payments. To keep my word from the bot's profile page:

Payment guaranteed - If you don't receive your payment within an hour and the issue isn't at Coinbase nor Steam, you will be paid 50% extra*

*Max $100, which is divided between everyone who had issues around the same time

I paid everyone back their missing Bitcoin as well as 10% extra on top. This totaled to about $210 extra as a compensation.

This event was quite unpredictable as the source of the problem was at a 3rd party service and not directly at KeyVendor. KeyVendor is dependent on Coinbase to keep it running in its current state but they have my full trust should any issues occur in the future.

I hope your trust towards KeyVendor didn't suffer from the event. I will continue to do my best preventing any issues that might be ahead, as well as sort them out if they ever come up.

Our payment processor Coinbase.com was exploited and all Bitcoin and keys were stolen from the KeyVendor bot. These total to about $15,000. This was not, however, a direct security issue with the bot, but rather with Coinbase's merchant services.

I want to be clear that your money or keys that were stored on our service are not at risk, though. I will pay every penny back from my own pockets, but currently there are very important matters to take care of first. It's a very busy time and that's why this announcement is so short as well.
