Hello guys, this is Sentient, the group's creator.

I started this group after I moved here to Hong Kong in late 2014.

At the time, I was looking for people in my same city who could play some games online with me. It was quite important for me that the people I played online with actually lived in Hong Kong because of a couple reasons:

First, for the time zone. I couldn't play anymore with people from Europe, for example, because they would be several hours behind me.

Second, I actually wanted to make new friends in real life, and use the gaming as a bonding activity.

Well, I did, if just for a few months, accomplish that goal, as I made a lot of gaming buddies and met about a dozen people in real life from Steam, thanks to this group, both local Hong Kong people and other expats like me.

I even organized real life meet-ups for a few months. After that things went down and whatever group of online/offline buddies I had formed was dissolved.

Since then I admit I haven't really had enough time and energy to reach out again to people to make new friends.

Furthermore, I am leaving Hong Kong in September, after my 3 years here will be complete, and I'm moving to Japan instead. (Perhaps I'll create a "Fukuoka Steam Friends" group?)

Anyways I thought that only because I am personally leaving, this group doesn't have to die (or better, stay dead, since... it hasn't been much alive).

So if anyone here feels like they have the time and energy and interest in being a leading force in rounding up people for fun things and wants to be an active moderator, I can give you admin/moderator credentials. Basically I think it would be cool if anyone wants to take the mantle and try to inject new life into this group by proposing games, activities, events. Anything for people to be social with each other.

I'm going back to an old game that I loved, the free zombie apocalypse game No More Room In Hell, which is actually the game around which HKSF was initially built.

I'm looking once again for players who want to join my team and play together for a project I want to resurrect.

How are you doing everyone, it's been a while.

I just wanted to stop by to ask if anyone here has ever played Resident Evil Outbreak.

RESIDENT EVIL OUTBREAK:
There's two of them, File 1 and File 2, from 2003/2004. Outbreak is a PS2, 4-players co-op, fixed camera angles survival horror, old-school Resident Evil kind of game.

Me and a bunch of people from various countries in the world have been playing it online with a PS2 emulator for a few weeks now, it's been a lot of fun so far.

How you guys and girls all doing?

So there's going to be a huge updated for Unturned, to be released on Friday, most likely.

The update consists of a new big map set in Russia and apparently a lot of new features. You can watch the 30 seconds teaser trailer on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmKGc9lN4pU

I'm wondering if anyone wants to do some gaming together as a small group of 2-4 people. English voice chat would be required, with proper set up, no echos or loud noises. I'll be recording the whole thing for youtube and possibly even stream it. I can host a low-latency PvE listen (non-permanent) server and play a couple of hours in the evening.

How's it going everyone? It's been a while since this group has actually tried to bring its members together for some gaming.

So the game Evolve has gone free to play as many of you already know.

It's an interesting game, 4 players control human hunters to fight against a single other monster player.

I'm making this post to see if anyone here wants to squad together. If you want to play leave a comment or contact me (Sentient Anomaly) directly. Just make sure you have downloaded and tried the game a little bit already, at least do the tutorials.
